Now and then I get an enquiry as to whether I'm going to produce an artbook at any point. The thought has crossed my mind but the major hurdle seems to be keeping the cost down to be, on one hand, attractive to the potential customer, but on the other, worth the trouble producing, packaging and posting - as well as making a bit on top, of course. I'm guessing most people don't want to spend £25 - £30 on a vanity project, which seems to me the sort of price it would take to produce a colour book of a sensible size that includes p&p - maybe I'm wrong.

So, do you have any experience of creating an artbook? Have you found the perfect online manufacturer that you can recommend? (UK-based would be preferential in my case).
What was your experience like creating a book? Was it worth it? What pitfalls would you suggest being mindful of? Maybe you're an avid buyer of artists' art books. Were they all you expected them to be? Were they ever a disappointment? What sort of price are you happy to pay for another's art book- and what do you expect in regard to size of book and number of pages, etc. Whatever your thoughts and experiences are, either as producer or buyer, then hit me up as I'd be keen to know 'em.

Thanks for checkin' in.
